Colburn Parking  - Shuttles? Checkin info? lots of signs? Easy access registration? Colburn Bus? 

Colburn will have a limited number of Parking Passes ($50/week OR $17/day) that may be purchased. There are also many garages (Cal Plaza, Broad, Disney Hall, and Joe’s Garage) near Colburn that have daily and hourly rates. The price per day can range from $8 to $40. (See attached parking location breakdown.)

Hollywood Bowl  - Colburn Bus - TRansportation to Bowl; Tickets???? how to register for them?

Participants will need to buy their two tickets (Aug. 4 and Aug. 6) separate of symposium registration. Participants may take the METRO subway (1 block from Colburn) to Hollywood. It is a 10 minute walk from the Hollywood METRO subway stop to the Hollywood Bowl. Participants may also drive or take a cab. 

Grand Park

Getting Here

Grand Park is located in Downtown Los Angeles. With close proximity to major freeways and major public transportation hubs, Grand Park is an easy and fun destination for all!

Parking for Grand Park is available in Lot 10 on N Broadway between First Street and Temple Street. The Lot 10 parking rate is $3.50 per 15 minutes, or $20.00 maximum per day, and $10.00 per day for weekends, evenings and special events.

Direct access to the park is available on the Los Angeles Metro Red Line and Purple Line at the Civic Center station. The park is also accessible via the Silver Line's 1st Street/Hill Street stop or its Spring Street/City Hall stop.[11] Several local,rapid and express Metro bus routes also share the same 1st Street/Hill Street stop at the civic center.

From the Harbor Freeway (110 North or Southbound)

• Exit 4th St, staying on the left
• Turn left onto Olive Street. The California Plaza parking facility is on the left.

From the Hollywood Freeway (101 Northbound)

• Exit Grand Ave
• Turn right onto Grand Ave
• Turn left onto 1st St
• Turn right on Olive St. The California Plaza parking facility is located on the right.

From the Hollywood Freeway (101 Southbound)

• Exit Temple St, and go straight onto Hope St
• Turn left onto 1st St
• Turn right on Olive St and continue straight. The California Plaza parking facility is located on the right

PARKING RATES

California Plaza parking rates are $7.50 (cash only) starting 90 minutes before evening Grand Performances events. The garage is best accessed from Olive Street between 1st and 4th Streets.

We highly recommend finding alternate parking for our Friday noon shows, as daytime parking at CalPlaza will run you $38 or more!

GETTING TO HOLLYWOOD BOWL: Participants may take the METRO subway (1 block from Colburn) to Hollywood. It is a 10 minute walk from the Hollywood METRO subway stop to the Hollywood Bowl. Participants may also drive or take a cab or UBER.
